During this interactive presentation and workshop, participants will be introduced (or perhaps called back) to the spiritual practice and academic discipline of Biblical storytelling. The session will begin with an immersive experience of the craft, followed by a brief introduction to the academic foundations of Performance Criticism. Bev will offer personal testimony regarding its power as a spiritual discipline, sharing practical insights into how storytelling enlivens corporate worship and helps congregations hear the Good News in fresh, transformative ways.

The second half of the workshop will transition from theory into active practice, giving attendees the tools to begin this discipline themselves. Using the parable of the sower and the seed (Matthew 13:1-9) as an anchor text, participants will work both individually and in supportive triads to help one another learn to tell the story.
